The Good Fuel Co-operative
The Good Fuel Co-operative is a UK co-operative whose members are themselves co-operatives producing
and supplying biodiesel and other low carbon fuels in their local area.
We are committed to ethical sourcing and genuine carbon reductions -
we use only feedstock from waste and sustainable sources.
The Good Fuel Co-operative is constituted as an Industrial and Provident Society.
There are two tiers of membership:

Full : This is for co-operative producers of bio-diesel.

Associate : This is for individuals or groups who want to contribute to the aims of the co-op by purchasing ethical shares,and agree with the main aims and philosophy of the co-op.
Who can become involved in the co-op :
If you're involved in ethical biodiesel in the UK or would like to be, we'd love to hear from you. We can
offer many sorts of help, from contacts and advice to more formal and structured services.
You can join our co-op:
As a full member: any constituted co-op who produces bio-diesel using feedstock from waste oil or sustainable sources.
As an associate member: ethical investors who agree with our aims objectives and principles, who don't want to produce biodiesel. ... anyone who wants to support our objectives
Our aims and objectives:
We exist to:
- Co-ordinate supply and demand activities to support biodiesel production from sustainable sources in the UK
- Raise investment to further research into development of ethical fuels.
- Share our knowledge ,information,services resources and experience with like-minded co-ops.
- Support new social businesses
- Act upon and lobby for sustainable fuel initiatives on a global national and regional level.
- Contribute our ideas to the development of new legislation to improve sustainable fuels.
- Work with people and organisations not formally constituted as co-ops ,to help them achieve this status and become a primary member of the Good Fuel Co-op .
- Work with Universites and other educational establishments to carry out further research into renewable and sustainable fuels.
- Provide a cost effective fuel testing service to our members.
